The Slit-Back Maxi is aptly named for its elegant detail; a subtle suggestion of a slip of skin, and a delicate contrast to its shift fit. This maxi looks most at home as an open cardigan, or buttoned up as a dress with heels for fancier thrills. Plus, it’s breastfeeding friendly. It comes with an optional and matching wrap belt, cinch it around the waist to trade the straight lines for subtle curves. We love wrapping it around twice and knotting it just a little off center for an asymmetrical look.
The wide sleeves wing out for a structural silhouette without compromising on the natural swing and hang of the fabric. Pockets are cleverly sewn to the sides, a hidden detail to keep from any distraction of the maxi’s straight lined shape. The elegant length hits near ankle and comes with side slits that move with the wind.
100% medium weight cotton. Selectively bundled and dyed by hand with azo-free dyes, the threads are then handloomed. Colour and weaving variations may occur, as it is a part of its charm.
Wash separately the first few washes to prevent colour runs. After that, machine wash inside-out with similar colours. For best results, handwash cold or use delicate machine wash. Do not tumble dry. Line dry inside-out. Cool iron inside-out.
Love the unexpected details in this dress—the Obi belt, long keyhole opening in the back, and long slits up both legs. Gorgeous dress, always gets me compliments.
As a blogger and reviewer of this specific dress, I have loved it the moment I put it on my body. Great for almost any occasion and can easily be dressed up or down with sandals or a pair of sturdy clogs. For those women who love a simple long but airy dress, this is where it's at. If your a mother to there's buttons down the front that alloy for easy access and slits on the sides that allow you to easlily dance, walk and move around in. I highly recommend this dress to anyone who wants a beautifully made garment and to feel confident and comfortable repping this amazing brand.
Love my dress by Matter. I appreciate the modern cut, a lot of times artisanal items are too ethnic for city & office life. It’s very well made, though through, doesn’t wrinkle too much. Very happy with the purchase in spite of my original hesitations because of the price.
