The Wrap Skirt + IChing Charcoal
For years now, our community has been asking for a skirt. A wrap skirt, to be specific - as suggested and eagerly encouraged by the ones who have joined our journey. This wrap skirt is a nod to the timeless styles that inspired this classic silhouette. Ease and elegance all in one, we love this wrap skirt for its adjustable buttons (of course), plus a hidden tie closure that keeps the wrap secure even when you’re sitting down by the desk or getting out of cabs.
Detailed with 3 button closure options, the Wrap Skirt was designed with flexibility in mind. Also comes with a hidden tie closure at the knee to secure the wrap to keep you from having a Marilyn Monroe moment. Plus, pockets and a wrap tie closure to finish it off.
100% medium weight organic cotton. Selectively bundled and dyed by hand with azo-free dyes, the threads are then handloomed. Colour and weaving variations may occur, as it is a part of its charm.
Wash separately in first few washes to prevent colour runs. After that, machine wash with similar colours. For best results, hand wash cold or use delicate machine wash. Do not tumble dry. Line dry inside out. Cool iron inside-out.
Really like how this wrap skirt accommodates a range of waist sizes in one! The design is flattering and hides the tummy. The inner self-tie is a bit awkward though, so I tend to leave it untied. Overall a very comfortable piece! Just like all my other Matter items.
This is by far my favourite Matter Prints item! I love the material and design of the skirt, and it is just the right length for me (I am 160cm). So flattering on me! I hope there will be more unique designs for this skirt :)
The skirt is well-constructed with very thoughtful details. The length is midi-length for my 5'3" height, that is just in. I love the tie to close up the wrap so the legs won't show when you sit, and the wrap is wide enough that will not constrict walking. There are three buttons inside to adjust the inner waist. One tiny area of improvement is the button enclosing the outside wrap next to the tie. There is only one button opening for this button, and to ensure that all three waist width could be accommodating, there should be two other holes accordingly on the outside button closure. Although I can still wrap the outside using the tie, it just feels a bit in completed in that sense. Hopefully, this could be fixed with future next patterns. Still, I love this skirt and love to pair it with the matching top, but it could be better!
I love this so much! Goes with everything and great for casual days or work. Easy to tie.
