Gradiente thread woven on the handloom

Gradiente fabric

Gradiente pattern

A coloured thread on the warp and white on the weft makes this fabric a textured weave resembling the concrete walls of a blockprinter’s workshop, its patina aged by the elements.

Chambray is a double ply close weave most often associated with the classic denim fabric. The name originates from Cobrai or Cambrai, a city in North France where the fabric was originally woven for farmers in the field. Its heritage as a work wear fabric goes back to 1595, and is often woven in blue.

Available in The Modern Monpe + Chambray Black,  The Sideswept Dhoti + Chambray Teal, and The Fisher Shorts + Chambray Red.
