This edition features the INDONESIA print by Joseph Lim and Bai Soemarlono from Populo Batik as part of the Then&There edition. First created in the 18th century, the Truntum motif is reinterpreted here in an undulating layout symbolic of tidal waves. Originally created by a queen as a symbol of unconditional love, it depicts stars set against a night sky and everlasting love that blooms over and over again.
Rolls of off-cut fabrics with small amounts of color variations and smudge prints.
