How To Ink is a literal translation of the Chinese characters 凹凸印 (Āo Tú Yìn), inspired by the art of printmaking which works on a ying-and-yang principle, by utilising negative and positive moulds to produce certain impressions on paper. How To Ink upholds that philosophy; to pass down their knowledge by sharing the intricacies of printmaking and handicraft.
Monoprinting is a form of printmaking that has lines or images that can only be made once, unlike most printmaking, which allows for multiple originals. Learn the process by creating your own designs from carving to printing on a cotton pouch. All tools, materials and hardware are provided. No prior knowledge is necessary as the workshop is fully guided. The pieces put together will be yours to take home.
